4AD Records has announced the final three titles in their bid to reissue the full catalog of the mercurial English outfit Dead Can Dance. During 2016, 4AD released six of Dead Can Dance's nine studio albums and in March the final triptych will hit shelves.
1988's The Serpent's Egg, the band's fourth record was a departure from their more goth-like beginnings and was the first album the recorded on their own in their studio in Southern Ireland.
Aion from 1990, which was the follow-up to The Serpent's Egg, combined a number of influences from Medieval and Renaissance music yet still sounds completely like a Dead CanDance LP. It also features a section of the Hieronymus Bosch masterpiece "Garden Of Earthly Delights" as its' cover art.
Finally, 1996's Dreamcatcher gets the repress treatment to round out the full catalog as a 2xLP set.
The releases will be available on March 17th. Pre-orders are now available in the 4AD store as individual releases or as a bundle of all three LPs.
